In an ongoing development, we are working with the wine producers in the Western Cape to assist in the progress of precision viticulture practices. This has involved the development of customised software "orthoviewer" for the calculation and presentation of vegetation indices from digital multispectral orthophotos:



We have also been involved in the development of a low cost aerial mapping system for use with light aircraft. This system was successfully implemented during the harvest season at the beginning of this year. Aerial photography and mapping was carried out for the following wine producers:
